Clean Slate.... Fresh Beginnings.... Fun Introductions!

So I guess I should start off by saying.....

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

2012 is now behind us, and now it's time to look to the next 365 days ahead!

It's usually the day people set goals and resolutions.... I honestly thought long and hard about what I wanted mine to be and after the BIG 2012 I had, I think it was only fitting to have these:

1. To change and embrace change for the better..... I don't want to be the same person at the end of 2013 as I am today!

2. To be the most content and at peace I've ever been in my life. To handle the tough times with wisdom (and potential for good) and handle victories with grace and gratitude.

3. To balance out how I listen to my heart, soul and body and do actions in faith!

4. To be the person God created me to be..... and to live the purpose I have been given with great passion!

What are your resolutions?

Here are some tips to thinking of your own resolutions:

1. Be realistic but adventurous!
2. Plan! Plan! Plan! (short, medium and long term)
3. If it's to overcome an issue take the time to address the issue and what's causing it before you 'fix' it.
4. Be accountable for your actions, keep a blog/journal, write Instagram/Twitter/Facebook updates, talk to friends... etc!
5. Don't give up.... maybe plan A didn't work, the alphabet doesn't stop at A!
6. Listen to the balance between your heart, head and soul..... and trust your instincts.
7. Be around positive people. Positivity + Encouragement = Motivation.
8. Seek advice from people who have experience.  I'm not saying take EVERYTHING they say, but they've been there and they can give you an insight you never knew possible.
9. Don't take failure as a negative.... see it as a possibility! (Thanks Rhiannon Collard!)
10. You have 365 days to rock 2013..... JUST DO IT!!!

Have a beautiful day!

  1. Hi Krystal! Loving your new blog so far and I love the name. I still have my crappy old LJ account if you want to check it out. Well, I have a few new years resolutions...

#1 - to do a little bit of yoga and/or belly dance every.single.day. I have been a yoga devotee and a raqs sharki enthusiast for years, but I'll be stuffed if I can do a crows pose or a smooth ribcage isolation to save myself because I haven't devoted enough time to them even though I just love them both. I'm not going to get better by just sitting there!
    #2 - to gradually start jogging/running.
#3 - to be a happy and healthy mum to Jonah Robert.

Hopefully that isn't too many. Well, last year I was quite good with some of my NYR's, which were to reduce my carbon footprint by walking and riding my bike more, never using a plastic shopping bag and reducing my meat intake. The other one was to not smoke weed EVER and to drink A LOT less alcohol. Getting pregnant made those last two easy! The former were not so easy (it's hard to ride a bike with a huge pregnant tummy), but at least I rarely use plastic shopping bags anymore. So my idea is to do the same thing this year and just throw a heap of resolutions out there and that way at least some of them are sure to stick. :)
